NexterUniverse is a Minecraft server project that existed from 2018 to 2022 and focused on players from the CIS (Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan etc.), as well as for the Russian-speaking audience from the EU countries (Latvia, Estonia). The project has come a long way – from a small private server on request to a full-fledged network with mini-games and a complex of modified servers.
Within NexterUniverse I held the key role of the project manager and main developer. My responsibilities included:
– Organized and managed a team of administrators (up to 10 people).
– Responsible for technical development: configuring servers, releasing updates, internal architecture.
– Determined the strategic direction and concept of the project.
For the realization of certain tasks outsourcing specialists and professional studios engaged in the development of Minecraft-servers were involved.
The project’s peak online traffic was up to 70 active players at a time.
* As part of preserving the history of the project, I recreated the original NexterUniverse website in Figma. The original site design was developed by me, but the logo and its technical implementation (layout, development and integration) were done by a professional studio specializing in Minecraft server development (outsource).
